Putting a removable device in your fstab can hang the boot process if it gets removed. Same is true for arrays that can fail and network drives. Use the mount option 'nofail' to work around this like so:

sudo vim /etc/fstab

UUID=effec574-2567-4fe5-969f-135e1822f94a /srv/media/video/ btrfs defaults,noatime,nofail 0 0

There used to be a nobootwait option for ubuntu derivatives but it seems to have been dropped
