Guest WinPE

Overview

Using winpe with vmware is possible only if you use version 2.0. After you download it, you create a iso. There are techniques you can use to "inject" drivers into it, but you can also add some lines to the vmx config file
  • creating the winpe 2.0 image
  • injecting the network drivers / using e1000 emulation
  • partitioning with diskpart
  • starting the install and specifying the system partition.
