Unifi devices are designed to be managed centrally. The have a console of course, and you can just turn them on and use them, but doing so misses the point of an enterprise system. So any deployment

First Steps

When making a clean start, use the 192.168.1 network. Unifi devices use that network by default to self-assign management interfaces if there is no DHCP and will fail to adopt if the controller can't talk directly to them.

1. Deploy VM infrastructure
2. Install ubuntu and add the unifi repo

If you have no network infrastructure, deploy the security gateway.

Start with 192.168.1/24 as your

Security Gateway

Unifi APs are only managed via an untagged VLAN at this time
