Cert Export

start a command line session and add the java keytool to yout path. I searched for the location of 'keytool' and entered path=%path%;E:Program Filesj2sdk1.4.2_06jrebin

I then look in the server.xml to find the tomcat keystore. In our case it is 'conf.keystore' meaning in the tomcat home directory (where you installed tomcat) and then down to the conf diretory

Next is to export the certifiacte. I googled this with 'java keytool export certificate' and came up with the command

keytool -export -keystore .keystore -alias tomcat -file myservername.cer

The password on our tomcat server keystore is blank (this is standard practice for tomcat servers)
